Hemaidah is a Farmer who hates country life. He hates working in fields and taking care of the animals in his farm. Though unsatisfied with her, he marries Zebeidah, a woman in the same village.
تدور أحداث الفيلم حول حمدان الشاب الريفي الذي لا يتحمل المسئولية، ويستغل حب زبيدة له ويعتدي عليها، فيرغمه أخوه الأكبر على الزواج منها، بعد فترة يتركها ويذهب للقاهرة ويتناهى إليه الظن بأن زوجته قد ماتت، فيعمل في كازينو مع تجار مخدرات، وهو يجهل حقيقة عمله، فيقبض عليه ويسجن، لكنه يستوعب الدرس من رحلته.
