What happens after happily ever after?
Happily ever after never seemed so far far away when a trip to meet the in-laws turns into a hilariously twisted adventure for Shrek and Fiona. With the help of ever-faithful Donkey, Shrek takes on the potion-brewing Fairy Godmother, pompous Prince Charming, and infamous ogre-killer Puss In Boots.
يبدأ الجزء الثاني من حيث انتهى الجزء الأول، بعدما تحولت الأميرة فيونا إلى غولة قبيحة وتزوجت شريك وعاشا معا في مستنقعة، يتوجب على فيونا وشريك زيارة والديها الملك والملكة بعد فترة غياب عنهما طويلة، لكنهما يصابان بصدمة كبيرة، بعد لقائهما مع ابنتهما في هيئتها الجديدة، تتقبل الملكة الأم الواقع الجديد الأليم، بينما يرفضه الملك ويقرر التخلص من شريك، وبعد فشله بجميع المؤامرات، يلجأ إلى الجنية العرابة لتعيد له ابنته بصورتها الحقيقة، ولكنها تشترط عليه أن تتزوج من ابنها المغرور.
