Following his retirement, Al-Mokhtar Salamat, a father to three daughters, tries to connect with his family and build bridges of communication and understanding, but he soon realizes that he has been so busy with his job that he couldn't see the changes in their attitudes and ideologies.
تدور أحداث مسلسل "سلمات أبو البنات"، حول المختار سلمات الذي عمل طوال حياته مُراقب بالسكك الحديدية ثم يُحال للتقاعد، وخلال سنوات عمله كان بعيدا عن مُتابعة أحوال أسرته على الرغم من أنه أب لثلاث بنات، وبعد تفرغه يُحاول أن يقترب من حياتهن ولكنه يكتشف أن غيابه لسنوات طويلة قد غير الكثير من الأفكار والعادات وخصوصاً عندما يبدأ الإستعداد لزفاف بناته، وتتوالى الأحداث بصورة شيقة.
