In 1985 Mexico City, a catastrophic earthquake buries thousands. A doctor with a dark past, a journalist chasing fame, and a family in distress risk their lives in rescue attempts. Their efforts become chances to change their own lives.
في 19 سبتمبر 1985، ضرب زلزال بقوة 8.1 درجة مدينة "مكسيكو سيتي"، متسبباً في واحدة من أكبر مآسي البلد. وخلال الساعات الأولى من الكارثة، أصبح طبيب وممرضاته أبطالاً غير متوقعين إذ عملوا بلا كلل لإنقاذ العالقين تحت المشفى العام. كما كانت هناك صحفية تنقل أخبار الكارثة بينما تجوب المدينة وعائلة تحاول لمّ شملها وسط الأنقاض.
